Whales of Arcadia is a literary magazine that appreciates literature, classicism, and art.

We are seeking submissions for our first issue. 

Submission Guidelines:

• Poetry: Please submit up to 5 poems (maximum 10 pages)
• Fiction: Please submit 1 short story or 3 flash fiction per time. We do not publish genre fiction. 
• Non-Fiction: submissions should not exceed 6000 words.
• Submit your work as a single document in either .docx or .pdf.

• We accept simultaneous submissions. Please let us know if your work is accepted elsewhere.
• We only accept unpublished work.
• Please submit your work via submittable

Whales of Arcadia Writing Competition

• The winner will receive $500 award. 
• Contest date: January 12th to December 31th.

• We accept poetry and fiction for this contest.
• Submit up to 3 pieces of poetry or 1 short story. We do not accept genre fiction.
